We’re approaching the holiday season as temperatures begin to drop and we feel a nice whip of a cool breeze in the air. Florida has a nice drop in temperature while keeping a sunny disposition to make it feel like you’re approaching winter— even though it’s really not the same, haha. My family is already collecting the Coquito — a holiday drink native to Puerto Rico to celebrate the upcoming Christmas season. It helps maintain a festive mood throughout winter as Thanksgiving welcomes Christmas and Christmas shakes hands with the new year. Puerto Rico likes to take the festivities a little further into the month of January with the Celebration of the Three Kings and I anticipate a nice Flancito— a custard desert native to Puerto Rico — to share in the holidays to celebrate the season with family later in the coming months. You should try some!
On the other hand, I have been busy with projects while I think about new stories to write for the Creative Journey PhotoMag. I’m still waiting to receive the android update to keep in contact with my readers to ask you about stories you would like to read but in the meantime, I have been working on other projects including 3 books. They would be two Creative Nonfiction Pieces and a Memoir that I would be happy to share with my readers later sometime next year, hopefully.
However, these are side projects in the making as I am also focusing on my photography courses that help supplement these stories. I’m approaching finals week and have a few papers to write and a final portfolio project to turn in.
It’s nice to open a pleasant notification in your inbox to find something encouraging and remind you why you wanted to follow your dreams in the first place. I feel a little refreshed as I’m searching for part-time employment to keep me afloat. It is a busy time for me and I really need a change of scenery. I’d immerse myself in travel photography to get my mind off of this busy season— I think It would be a nice change to my current monotony, haha. I’m jk. Not really. But the stories are SO W O R T H I T. :)
I really do think the stories are worth the effort. It gives me something exciting to share as I think about a potential change of scenery in the future. Perhaps a photo essay would capture the essence of any new journey I encounter in the coming seasons. I can’t wait to get the android update to consult potential stories with you, my readers in the future. I appreciate your #thoughts #prayers, and #kindness for reading the Creative Journey PhotoMag. I will be scaling back to posting 1 or 2 times a month until I get this transition in my life settled. Feel free to browse the archives on the website. Comment and share with others to talk about their Creative Journey too. I’d love to hear from you.
I meant to say, "1 to 2 times a month" sorry for the typo, haha. #merryChristmas!
