Kon’nichiwa ✌️ こんにちは - my new greeting as I think about other places besides here for a moment. My desire for wanderlust takes me to other locations around the world and one of the places I would love to find myself is in Tokyo. Wouldn’t you think that Tokyo street photography would be a great place to add black and white photos 📷 to your portfolio? I certainly think so. There are also a lot of other reasons that I would want to go.
Japanese and South Korean Pop Culture are great influences in the creative community. I’d love to meet some sweet people who would love to enjoy a bowl of Ramen 🍜or Sushi 🍱 with me as we go to one of Tokyo’s great stationary stores to load up on cute stationery and anime stickers 📚✏️. I’m always someone who is constantly writing even in the secret spaces of leafy pages and it would be a cute novelty to fill up my notebooks with something kawaii that boosts my morale. ✌️💚💙💜🥰️
Recently, I spent Thanksgiving at home with my dad and some family friends. I finished up my Language of Photography portfolio and uploaded some of my most recent assignments to my black-and-white Instagram street photography account. I’m pretty proud of the end result and encouraged by my teacher’s praise as she suggested my photos remind her of the Great American Photographer, Lewis Baltz. I think that’s a pretty high praise and I something I wasn’t expecting to hear. I’m so thankful for her encouragement and will consider studying his form and movement through photos for my future street photography works.
Next week is the first month of the last month of the year. It seems like a great time for hot chocolate in front of a warm fireplace with a cozy book. I hope you would enjoy taking the time to read through some of my archives for inspiration for your own Creative Journey as the new year begins to roll around. It would be a great time to think about your bucket list since in the last year a lot of airport gates have reopened allowing access to travel once again. I’m glad to say we got to visit Costa Rica for some time where I built a great portfolio of the lively Latin American colors in this Central American country. Travel is a great way to find inspiration and reinvent yourself along the journey of life.
Please, take the time to consider looking through my portfolio and sharing the inspiration with friends who love this art form as well. It would help to keep this publication active as I love to bring you amazing content every other week. :)
